French-Australian Regional Informatics Olympiad (FARIO)

FARIO Logo

The FARIO began in 2004 as an informatics competition between students from France and Australia and has been held every year since. Students from Belgium and New Zealand also regularly compete.

For Australian students, the format, length, and rules will be the same as the AIIO. In Australia, the contest will run on Friday 7 March 2025 with the same format, length and rules as the AIIO. To ensure integrity for all participants, please do not discuss the contest until it appears on the ORAC Training Site, which will not be until at least Wednesday 12 March 2025.

You can view past results on the results archive site.

There is no official syllabus for the FARIO. You may find the IOI Syllabus a useful reference.

If you are a Belgian, French, or New Zealand student, please contact your national informatics program for more information.
